The State Electoral Commission of North Macedonia has counted over 77 percent of today's votes for the first round of the presidential elections. Currently, VMRO-DPMNE candidate Gordana Siljanoska leads with 39.64 percent, followed by SDSM candidate Stevo Pendarovski with 19.32. Bujar Osmani from the European Front has 14.38 percent, Arben Taravari from VLEN 10.20 percent, Maksim Dimitrievski, the mayor of Kumanova 8.47, Biljana Vankovska Cvetkovska "E Majta" 4.39 and Stevco Jakimovski, the mayor of Karposhi Skopje with 0.78 percent. The citizens of North Macedonia today voted for their next president. This is the seventh presidential election, while the possible second round is held together with the parliamentary elections on May 8. The total number of voters registered in the electoral roll is 1.814.317. According to the data of the State Electoral Council at 18:30, in the first round of the presidential elections, 48.46 percent of eligible citizens voted.
