During the period April 19-23, 1999, Serbian military and paramilitary forces barbarically killed many innocent civilians from 7 to 98 years old in the Gollaku region. On April 21, 1999 in Makoc of Gollaku, 115 civilians of various ages were brutally tortured and killed. Even today, after 25 years, justice for innocent lives has not been done and the perpetrators have not received the deserved punishment, said President Vjosa Osmani. She said that the crime does not get old and that justice must be done to the perpetrators of these macabre acts. "May the memory be eternal for all those who fell for freedom", writes Osmani on Facebook.
