The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated after the EU Western Balkans summit, that for both Kosovo and Serbia, the way forward lies in the fulfillment of their commitments within the EU dialogue, as she also requested the implementation of the Ohrid agreement.

At a press conference tonight in Brussels, she said that the current situation was discussed at the summit against the background of the report of the Enlargement Commission.

Von der Leyen said that the membership negotiations are part of the EU's efforts to bring the countries of the Western Balkans closer to the European bloc, mentioning here Albania and North Macedonia.

Meanwhile, she has asked Kosovo and Serbia to fulfill their commitments within the dialogue facilitated by the EU, while waiting for the implementation of the Ohrid agreement. /KosovaPress
