The deputy mayor of the municipality of Pristina, Alban Zogaj, during the Great Meeting of Pristina for inter-Albanian and inter-Balkan integrations, spoke about Albanian history and the language as a treasure and symbol of our unity. He said that the Albanian people over the centuries have formed their identity as a nation and our traditions are being preserved by the new generations, giving our identity a strong root and connection with the past.
"Our history is full of events and experiences that have shaped our identity as a great and honorable nation in these lands, through these centuries the Albanian people have experienced great challenges, fought for freedom and independence and have shown an unwavering resistance from the freedom wars at the time of Skenderbeu and I take this opportunity to thank the heir of the family who is with us until the independence of Kosovo in 2008, the pride and courage of the Albanian people is exemplary, our identity is built on strong foundations of language, culture, traditions and our common values. The Albanian language is a unique treasure and a symbol of our national unity", said Zogaj.
The Pan-Albanian-Inter-Balkan-Euro-Atlantic meeting with the theme: History-Identity-Integration, was held in the framework of the 25th anniversary of the legendary war of the KLA-NATO and the freedom of Kosovo in Pristina, with over 600 guests of honor. /A. Zogaj
