Another unsightly event has affected local football. During today's match between Kika and the Vushtrri team, the referee was attacked, which led to the interruption of the match.

The confrontation between Kika and Vushtrri, which was valid for the 24th round of the First League of Group B, was characterized by scenes of violence, reports KosovaPress.

Based on the statements after the match of the two clubs, it is known that the Kika players showed unsportsmanlike behavior towards the match referee, in which case the match was stopped.

Below are the statements from both teams.

"The KF Kika vs FC Vushtrri match is interrupted. In the 83rd minute, the KF Kika - FC Vushtrria match was stopped due to some unsportsmanlike behavior of the KF Kika players towards the main referee of the match. The result was 1:2 in favor of FC Vushtrri, who overturned the result with the goals of Taulant Avdyli in the 63rd minute and Gentri Ulluri in the 80th minute. We are waiting for a final decision for today's match from the Football Federation of Kosovo", wrote in the communiqué of Vushtrri.

"Reaction. Feelings of regret are natural in the case of such matches, but it is important to maintain respect for the referee's decisions and the integrity of the game. It is important that as a club we take responsibility for the actions of our players and analyze situations to avoid such clashes in the future. The challenges of the game must be treated with sportsmanship and respect for all participants on the field. Also, as a club, we thank the public for sportingly taking the referee's decision. Kika above all", he wrote in Kika's press release.

Kika was leading 1:0 before Vushtrri overturned the result in the second half to advance to 2:1, when the incident in question happened.
