Last night, a person physically attacked a nurse of the KKMF in Podujevë, after previous tensions with a nurse. The KKMF of Podujeva has notified the police about the case and is waiting for the reaction of the law enforcement agencies. Last night around midnight while the emergency team was on duty, a person obstructed their work by insulting and threatening the nurse while escalating physical violence against the other nurse of the team. The management staff of the HCMC expresses indignation and strongly condemns the insults and attacks on health workers.
"Such attacks on health workers in their workplaces are disturbing and unacceptable, while tolerating them sets a dangerous precedent for the future by fueling job insecurity among the health community," the statement said. Due to concerns, the HCMC in Podujevë has announced that it has temporarily released the nurse at home.
