Rakia, this traditional Albanian drink, is being promoted in a very special way, as a drink that identifies our country, but also serves tourism.

An initiative of the municipality of Tirana brought together brandy producers near the Pyramid, who exhibited their products, but also discussed the ways in which they can promote it by strengthening bridges of cooperation.

"It is known as a cheap drink, but in reality, brandy has a lot of value, be it historical or traditional value, but it must be controlled. The final product should be healthy for the consumer and not harmful", says Flori Uka.

"Albania has the potential to produce brandy, and that's exactly the drink we need to promote, because it identifies us. When Albanians give a gift, they give an Albanian brandy, they give an Albanian wine, an Albanian product, an Albanian cheese, that is, they always give the best part of the consumption of a good Albanian product", says Rigers Kacorri.

Those who appreciate this product the most are foreigners or Albanians who no longer live here, but come as visitors.

The "Republic of Brandy" event welcomed visitors to taste the exhibited products. Forums were also held, where connoisseurs and experts in the field discussed issues related to both the production and marketing of this typical Albanian product. /ATSH/
