The Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti and the Minister of Health Arben Vitia welcomed the 24 new health inspectors and the eight new pharmaceutical inspectors in a meeting today. On this occasion, the head of the government has highly appreciated the role of inspectors, who, as he said, are the eyes and ears of citizens' complaints about health services. "From 11 health inspectors, you are becoming 35. From 12 pharmaceutical inspectors, you are becoming 20. So, 32 new inspectors in total, which means three times more inspectors in the health field. With the signing of new contracts, solutions are also needed for logistical challenges, in which case procedures have been started for the special facility for the Inspectorate that will be renovated, as well as the fleet of cars will be added to the progress of the work and the speed of the results" , he said.

Congratulating the new health and pharmaceutical inspectors, Prime Minister Kurti warned of increasing the number of inspectors, as a guarantee of law enforcement and equal treatment of patients. Kurti announced that the Law on the Central Inspectorate, which regulates the exercise of duties and responsibilities for inspectors, is being finalized, which will affect the improvement of services for citizens. Meanwhile, Minister Vitia promised to meet the necessary conditions for work for the inspectors.
