The Vice President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Vlora Çitaku, estimates that Kosovo is ending the most difficult and failed year in foreign policy, since the declaration of independence, without recognition, without membership in international organizations and without advancing the European integration agenda and under sanctions from the side of the European Union.
Vice President Çitaku, in a press conference, said that Kosovo's foreign policy is characterized by cacophony, lack of vision and many scandals. She said that there is no sane person who would want this kind of negative reflection on foreign policy.
"In a year when the process of membership in the European Union was concretized, either with the approval of candidate status, or with the opening of negotiations for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Kosovo's application remained unprocessed and Kosovo continues to not have access to hundreds of millions of euros of development funds dedicated to the Western Balkans", added Çitaku."I would like in this conference to talk about other topics, because we should all be happy about Kosovo's successes in foreign policy. Unfortunately, despite all efforts to find even a success of Kosovo in foreign policy, it was impossible. Actually, the foreign policy of our Republic this year was non-existent. In the next year, with the holding of new elections, this destructive and divisive mentality of this Government will come to an end", concluded Çitaku.
