Under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, the official ceremony of handing over the modern SPECT/CT/PET equipment takes place at the Nuclear Medicine Clinic, at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo.

Alternatively, the increasing use of SPECT/CT imaging is described and illustrated with a variety of typical clinical applications, which include brain, spine, cardiac, and cancer studies. Whereas, the use of the CT imaging functionality allows the correction of the SPECT image based on the compensation of absorption within the tissues.
