The Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo expresses its concern about the attacks that are being made on local companies that deal with the packaging and sale of water and requests that the situation be clarified by the competent bodies and that the businesses are not harmed with the claim that they have committed legal violations and have not paid the respective taxes .
The announcement states that the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo appreciates the efforts to resolve the water tax issue, but at the same time calls for this to be done in such a way as to protect this sector of local production, as well as the general interests of Kosovar businesses.
"The Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo notes that "the water packaging sector faces various challenges, including legal ambiguities and delays in the implementation of policies" and adds that all these have made it difficult for these companies to operate", the communiqué states.
As an institution serving the private sector in Kosovo, OEK encourages dialogue between the public and private sectors. "In this case, we ask that the issues and information about the amount of the claimed debt be made clear, as well as the reflection of the real situation, but also the protection of businesses from damages", OEK appeals, the communique says.
