The increase in prices and the liberalization of visas for Kosovo are expected to affect the decrease in the number of tourists in Albania. This is how the economic expert from Albania, Romina Radonshiqi, assesses, who says that both countries should work more for more stimulating policies in terms of trade and tourism.

Radonshiqi, in an interview for KosovaPress, emphasizes that the economy in Albania, like Kosovo, is facing other challenges due to migration. The more attractive wages and the best working conditions are also making young people from Albania migrate, this factor which then presents a problem in the labor force.

Another challenge for this country, Radonshiqi says, remains the high price of construction, to which he adds that Kosovars themselves favor Kosovo by investing in their country, unlike those from Albania who do not prefer to invest in their homeland.

Although, she says that this year they expect fewer tourists from Kosovo, she adds that the same ones will visit Albania after August.

Another problem for this country remains the bureaucracy. According to Radonshiq, bureaucracy often turns into corruption.

Although she says that she has helped farmers with grants and subsidies, she adds that the government should allocate more budget for agriculture.

Meanwhile, speaking about the challenges, she says that they are big, and yet in economic terms, Albania has marked improvements. According to Radonshiq, this country has managed to manage the pandemic and other crises with prices that came as a result.

In the end, Radonshiqi says that Kosovo and Albania should work more, especially in stimulating policies for the development of trade.
