Livestock farmers from Albania face difficulties in terms of milk production, who complain that they do not have support from the state and are forced to pour milk on the street due to the low price. While they have protested several times, they have asked for greater support from the government there. However, livestock expert at the same time livestock farmer, Ervin Resuli, has mentioned for KosovaPress the problems they face.

According to him, the lack of subsidies at unsatisfactory levels has forced the processors from time to time to turn to the regional market or even beyond. Meanwhile, in our country, from the association of milk producers of Kosovo, they complain that there is a decrease in production. The same people complain that there is a lack of power of workers and livestock leaders.

While Resuli says that the Albanian government allocates about 100 euros for national livestock schemes, he estimates that this amount should be increased. According to him, the surrounding countries are better in terms of supporting farmers than Albania.

On the other hand, Melihate Jashari, from the Association of Milk Producers of Kosovo, says that there is a decrease in the production of milk processors. Although he says that subsidies from the state should be greater so that livestock farmers are stimulated and deal with this field.

Meanwhile, in Albania, as a sign of dissatisfaction, livestock farmers have poured a tanker of fresh milk on the streets there. According to them, milk is sold at a very cheap price, since the collectors and dairy processing factories have fixed the price at 50 lek per liter./E. Krasniqi
