The citizens of the municipality of Obiliq continue to face air pollution, this is due to the huge smoke that is being created from the burning of plastics and materials harmful to the environment in the internal spaces and around the Kosovo Energy Corporation. This situation was also created yesterday by the "Kosova A" Thermal Power Plant, which continued almost all day. This is what the citizens of this municipality say to KosovaPress, why they are looking for a solution to this problemotsate. However, the municipality promises to improve the situation.

Citizens are concerned about this phenomenon. The citizen, Zelushe Kelmendi, while expressing concern about the environmental pollution that is taking place in this municipality, says that the smoke caused yesterday lasted almost the whole day.

On the other hand, the mayor from this municipality, Xhafer Gashi, has said that they are constantly expressing their concerns about these phenomena, but adds that the KEK should have improvements in this direction.

Meanwhile, the Director for Protection and Environment in the Municipality of Obiliq, Fitore Hashani, told KosovaPress that yesterday's pollution came as a result of fires, plastics, and materials harmful to the environment.

Regarding this problem, the KEK spokesperson, Skender Bucolli, has said that this institution is constantly investing and working in this direction, but added that it is also the stone quarries and other industries that are affecting environmental pollution.
