With two games left to play, manager Enzo Maresca has secured Leicester City's return to the Premier League in his debut season.
The 44-year-old Italian, who previously worked with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, took charge of Leicester in July last year following the club's relegation to the Championship, with the task of returning them to football's elite again. English, KosovaPress reports.
Due to the quality of their squad and high wage bill, Leicester could not risk missing out on an immediate return to the top flight, adding to the pressure on Marescan and his squad. Things looked simple until February, when a flurry of form caused concern at the club.
BBC Sport highlighted how Leeds United's 4-0 defeat of Queens Park Rangers on Friday night mathematically guaranteed automatic promotion to the Premier League for Leicester City, who now sit four points clear at the top of the Championship table.
Despite a late dip in form, it was a positive and successful debut season for Marescan, who will now have the chance to prove his mettle in the Premier League.
