The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that crimes against women show the failure of the judicial and prosecutorial system. He said in front of the government cabinet that the low punishments and insufficient punishments are a violation of the rights of the victims.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, demanded from the justice system more rigorous punishments for the violators of women.

She said that about 200 cases of violence against women and domestic violence are reported every month.

Haxhiu also presented some of the measures they will take to prevent, as he said, femicide.
