Prime Minister Albin Kurti today accused Serbia that along with the denial of genocidal crimes, it continues to deny the families the right to know the truth about the fate and location of the missing persons during the war in Kosovo. He made these comments on the 25th anniversary of the massacre in Hallaq i Vogël and Rufc i Ri in Lipjan, committed by the Serbian armed forces. The group of Mitrovica intellectuals was last seen on April 19, 1999 in Dreth Zubin Potok. While they were leaving for Montenegro, they were stopped by the forces of the Yugoslav army: Adem Ademi, Idriz Rreci, Demir Ahmeti, Fatmir Fazliu, Adem Beqiri, Sahit Berani, Hasan Dervari, Ali Haliti, Shaip Ujkani, Faton Ujkani, Mahit Ujkani, Nazim Ujkani, Shkelzen Ujkani, Tahir Meziu, Sali Meziu, Naser Meziu, Zymer Meziu, Selim Meziu, Shaqir Meziu, Samir Meziu, Bekim Meziu, Xhevdet Meziu, Xhemail Meziu. After the murder, in an effort to eliminate the traces of the crime, the bodies disappeared.

On the same day, April 19, 1999, the armed forces of Serbia carried out massacres in Hallaq i Vogel and Rufc i Ri in Lipjan. On the anniversary of the disappearance, we commemorate the group of 23 doctors, professors and activists of the national issue and human rights from Mitrovica. Today we commemorate the 21 killed in the April 19 massacre in the villages of Lipjan. We never forget the great sacrifice for the freedom of Kosovo, writes Kurti on Facebook.

Otherwise, even 25 years after the end of the war in Kosovo, nothing is known about the fate of around 1.600 missing persons.
