The Democratic Party of Kosovo held today the meeting of the Presidency, in which the current political developments in the country were discussed, as well as it welcomed the vote of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, where the report was approved that paves the way for Kosovo's membership in this organization. . President Memli Krasniqi has thanked the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats of Europe (ALDE), a party to which the PDK also belongs, for the great commitment in the interest of Kosovo at every step of this process. He said that PDK believes that Kosovo's membership in this organization, for which it has been worked for years, serves to strengthen democracy, the rule of law and human rights. "PDK calls on Kosovo's institutions to lobby and coordinate with all our international allies this month, so that the final vote of the Committee of Foreign Ministers, which will be held in May, is positive," he said.

Meanwhile, the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, seeing the political and economic stagnation in the country, especially the damage to the well-being of the citizens, has once again expressed the need for new early elections as soon as possible. PDK believes that the citizens of Kosovo need a credible, capable Government, which improves their lives and develops the state - which has been in complete stagnation for more than three years. PDK, from February of this year, by decision of the Governing Council, has started mobilizing all structures for new elections. Meanwhile, on March 27, President Krasniqi officially nominated Bedri Hamza as a candidate for Prime Minister of Kosovo.
