The delegation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, headed by Governor Ahmet Ismaili, has met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Department of the United States of America, Luyen Tran and his team from the Office of Technical Assistance in Washington DC

In this meeting, the strengthening of cooperation between the two institutions was discussed, in increasing the capacities of the CBK.

In the meeting with the US Department of the Treasury, Governor Ismaili expressed his sincere gratitude for the valuable technical assistance provided by the OTA and their key role in supporting the development of critical infrastructure.

"This includes support in the development of the Central Securities Depository System, the creation of liquidity lines, as well as successful cooperation in many other projects for banking and insurance supervision, as well as in the framework of combating money laundering and terrorist financing , among others", it is stated in the communique issued by the CBK.

Also, new opportunities for technical assistance and cooperation were discussed, with the aim of strengthening the partnership with the US Treasury Department.

"These commitments underline the CBK's commitment to cultivate sustainable partnerships with the main international actors, further strengthening the institution's mission to promote financial stability and the sustainable development of the country", it says further.
