Discussion related to business applications for increasing the capacities of transformers, delays related to requests for Prosumer Electric Power Consents for subsidizing solar panels, deadlines for approving applications of solar energy producers, problems with land ownership for the installation of transformers, disconnection of electricity without warning and damage to business machines were some of the issues that were discussed in the framework of the meeting held between representatives of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and KEDS.

The President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Skënder Krasniqi, thanked the Director of Energy Approvals at KEDS Sabri Ternava together with the Director of System Operation at the Kosovar Electricity Distribution Companies Bujar Jupaj and his colleagues for the meeting.

On the other hand, the director for Energy Consent at KEDS, Sabri Ternava, on the occasion of the meeting with the representatives of DHTIK, I thank the Chamber for initiating this meeting. Ternava, during the discussion of the challenges that businesses are facing with KEDS, among others, stated that there is no transfer of land ownership and the same is returned after intervention is not necessary, which approach, according to the methodology, must be provided by KEDS .

In the announcement, it is stated that within the framework of this meeting, Mayor Krasniqi also emphasized the dilemma of businesses regarding the investment in electricity transformers, the disconnections of the latter without warning and the delays in increasing the capacity of the transformers.

"According to the representatives of KEDS, the deadline for approving the applications of solar energy producers is 7 days, while DHTIK emphasized that businesses complain about much longer delays. According to KEDS, these delays are a consequence of the lack of matching of the capacity offered by the network and capacity approved by ERO. For this reason, KEDS representatives advise businesses to apply for increased capacity before requesting network connection, in order to avoid delays," the communiqué states.

DHTIK was represented in this meeting by the Chairman of the Board Skënder Krasniqi, Board Member Idriz Zejnullahu and Executive Director Zana Beqiri.
