The spokesman of the Government of Kosovo, Përparim Kryeziu, has reacted to the Serbian List for surveillance cameras in the north, saying that the time of bandits is over and that they are in the service of public security. Lista Serbe yesterday claimed that security cameras in public spaces violate the privacy of Serbian citizens and demanded their immediate removal. In his response, the spokesperson of the Government of Kosovo has reminded the Serbian List, which is supported by Serbia, that the time of bandits turned into terrorists of the "North Brigade" and "Civil Defense" has come to an end.

"In the past, collaborators of the Serbian List controlled these cameras. And when they had such control, none of them had worked on January 16, 2018, when Serbian politician Oliver Ivanovic was killed in the north of Mitrovica. The time of bandits turned terrorists of the "Northern Brigade" and "Civil Defense" has come to an end. Everyone should get used to the rule of law in a democratic republic", Kryeziu emphasized. Otherwise, in various municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo, including those in the north of the country, illegal Serbian structures and terrorist organizations "Civil Defense" and "Northern Brigade" have continuously used surveillance cameras, which were also accessible to security institutions of Serbia. A significant number of them have been seized by the Kosovo Police under the suspicion that they were used to monitor the movements of citizens and institutions of Kosovo.
