The Kosovo Olympic Committee (KOK) held today the General Assembly, where the achievements during the year ahead, namely 2023, were revealed.

Today's General Assembly began with the singing of the national anthem and that of the International Olympic Committee, reports KosovaPress.

Then, the president of KOK, Ismet Krasniqi, and the general secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MKRS), Xheladin Krasniqi, took the floor.

KOK President Krasniqi revealed some of the achievements during 2023, starting with winning the candidacy for the organization of the Mediterranean Games Prishtina 2030.

Also, President Krasniqi emphasized the increase in the number of scholarships in 2023 among other achievements of KOK.

Meanwhile, the general secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MKRS), Xheladin Krasniqi, said that great and continuous progress is being made in terms of the development of policies and legislation, respectively support in sports organizations.

After the speeches by the head of the KOK and the general secretary of the MKRS, there was a commemoration of the sports contributors who passed away during 2023.

Meanwhile, in the working part of this General Assembly, among other things, the appointment of a new member of the Executive Board of KOK was made after the resignation of Jeton Beqirit, where his place was taken by the president of the Basketball Federation of Kosovo (FBK ), Arben Fetahu. /A.Arifi/
