The results of the first round of the presidential elections highlighted the electoral overview of the leaders of the Albanian political parties in their strongholds. The head of DUI, Ali Ahmeti managed to maintain his stronghold in Kîrçovo by making a difference of 6.000 votes over political opponents from the Albanian bloc. In the first round, in Kîçovo, Bujar Osmani received over 8 votes, while Arben Taravari over 2. Ramiz Merko and Ziadin Sela guarded Ahmet's stronghold in Struga as well. In this city, the European Front won more than 4.700 votes over the VLEN coalition, respectively over Arben Taravari. The latter received over 3.300 votes, while Osmani over 8 votes.

With the help of the European Front, Ahmeti managed to protect the bastions in Saraj, Likovë and Çair. In the municipality with the majority of DUI officials, Ahmeti managed to secure a lead of 1.400 votes over Izet Mexhit. Arben Taravari managed to maintain the bastion in Gostivar with a minimum lead of 75 votes, while the head of the Besa Movement and the mayor of Tetova, Bilall Kasami came out with 700 votes less than the European Front. In 2021, Tetova returned to the Kasami stronghold, after several consecutive mandates that DUI had with Teuta Arifi in this municipality. In the six strongholds of the Albanian political parties Struga, Kirçovo, Gostivar, Tetovo, Saraj and Çair, the difference between the European Front and the VLEN coalition is over 15 thousand votes. The European Front secured about 60 thousand votes, while the Albanian opposition, namely Arben Taravari, about 45 thousand. / Alsat.mk
