President Vjosa Osmani has accused Serbia of continuing to hide the fate of 1600 people who disappeared during the war in Kosovo. She said that many of the missing are children who were taken from their mothers by the Serbian forces. "Serbia still sleeps on the mass graves and refuses to open the archives where the information about our loved ones can be found. But truth and justice will triumph again", Osmani wrote on Facebook.

Otherwise, today marks the 25th anniversary of the massacre in Meja i Gjakova, where 27 people were killed by Serbian forces on April 1999, 376. On this occasion, tributes were paid near the memorial dedicated to persons who disappeared by violence during the war in front of the Assembly of Kosovo and a commemorative gathering in Mejë i Gjakova.
