Investigators from the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK) have recommended to the Kosovo Police the suspension of a police sergeant from the KP border police.

According to a statement, the IPK has submitted a recommendation for suspension after a criminal investigation has been initiated against the police sergeant, which will be conducted in coordination with the Basic Prosecution Office of Gjilan, regarding the criminal offense of "Light bodily injury", reports Kosovo Press.

"The incident involving the police officer as a suspect is reported to have occurred in the city of Viti on 24.03.2025 at around 21:00, following a dispute between the police officer and a citizen regarding a property dispute. Investigative actions are being taken in coordination with the State Prosecution Office while the case is being handled in a regular procedure. PIK investigators are expected to take other investigative actions towards clarifying all the circumstances of this case," the statement said.
