Kosovo Police announced that they have arrested four people and seized drugs worth 15 thousand euros.
The Police Operation – codenamed "Block" – came after information that several people were involved in the sale of narcotics.
According to the announcement, on Monday, March 24, "The Directorate for the Investigation of Narcotics Trafficking in Pristina, after an operational work, stopped a suspicious vehicle on the Pristina-Podujeva highway in which were 2 Kosovar male suspects."
"During the search of the vehicle, a quantity of marijuana weighing 10.4 grams was found, the suspects were escorted to the police station," the Police said.
The police said that the police operation has continued to identify the second suspect vehicle and other persons involved in the case, "the two Kosovar male suspects who, despite attempting to flee and after throwing 420.2 grams of narcotics on the ground, were arrested by police investigators."The competent prosecutor was notified of the case and, in consultation with the same, police investigators conducted a search of the apartment used by the suspects and found: a package of green grass suspected of being a marijuana drug weighing 1063.8 grams; a bag of green grass suspected of being a marijuana drug weighing 31.8 grams; a quantity of white powder suspected of being a cocaine drug weighing 22.6 grams and three digital scales.
The Pristina Regional Forensics Unit arrived at the scene and photographed and confiscated all evidence found as material evidence. Two of the suspects were released by order of the prosecutor, while the other two suspects were taken into custody for 48 hours.
