Ban Ki-moon visits Kosova as protectorate, not as a state

Shpend Ahmeti, from Vetevendosje Movement, said that it is important for them to know what will be the message of Ban Ki-moon during his visit to Kosova. He said that if Ki-moon is coming to discuss the six points, for which he had said that is in full accordance with four points of Tadic, then he should not come at all.

“If he comes to discuss the six points, for which he had said that is in full accordance with four points of Tadic, and he had stated earlier as well that there is an agreement with Serbia’s Government on how should be the solution on northern part, then we say that he should not come at all. We have presented our stance on six points earlier. Those six points foresee for the police in northern part to be under other command, a part of the funds from customs in north to go directly to governing structures in north, without passing in the center in Prishtina,” Ahmeti said.

Ahmeti considered all these things as “preparation of a recipe”, which is harmful for Kosova and will separate Kosova on ethnic basis and will look like Bosnia.

“We are indignant not only with these visits, but as well with the behavior of our Government, which is opening the way by saying that it is ready to talk about north. At the time that you say that you are ready to talk about northern part, you have accepted compromise and the compromise will be painful,” Ahmeti said.

He said that the reception of Ban Ki-moon will be without state ceremony, which implies that United Nations do not recognize Kosova as a country. He said that Ki-moon is visiting Kosova as UN protectorate and not as independent state, as UN does not consider it as independent state.
