Gerbeshi said the decision for 35 percent of cement’s tariff, is in service of Sharrcem as it is creating a monopoly.
He called the reasoning of minister shameful.
According to him, this decision has provided unprecedented profits to this company damaging the Kosovo customer.
Gerbeshi said that "Titan" controls the cement in the region, while in Kosovo it was occupied by smuggled goods at customs, that, according to him, it had to be punished for this and not to create a monopoly for this company.
Also, he said that it is contrary to CEFTA and safeguards for imports.
"But we should remember that during the election campaign we have promised to the citizens that we will protect their interests. The support that the party gave to you, proves that you set your interests over the interests of citizens. In democratic countries where the minister makes a decision that gives negative effects, gives morally resignation. Today we have an opportunity to take a decision to repeal this decision that demeans us as Albanians, "said Gerbeshi.
On the other hand the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mimoza Kusari-Lila has justified her decision. According to her, it's time that in this session to separate facts from conspiracy.
She said that this is not a decision against Albania, adding that it is transparent and public it can be viewed by all, and nowhere is said that is against Albania. According to her, for this decision was complained Serbia and Macedonia.
"The decision is for all cement imports entered Kosovo. Complaints have come from Serbia and Macedonia. Macedonian company was complained about the decision, moreover, all companies, from Albania and Kosovo are foreign owned. The decision is the result of excessive cement in the region, because of the ecological tax. Italy has carried cement with very low price, when the request was decreased in the entire region except in Kosovo, "said Kusari-Lila.
