The MP of Kosova’s Parliament, Alma Lama said in today’s press conference that Kosova is the only country in the region that has not benefited from this process, adding that it seems that it will not benefit for a long period.
According to her, the rhetoric of Kosova’s government turned to be vacant for many times in row, as still it has not marked any step towards this process. It had promised to receive the roadmap in March, however it received the message to fight corruption and organized crime.
Lama said that it is clear that corruption and crime that have occupied the institutions, firstly the Government of Kosova, have caused the isolation of Kosova’s citizens.
“The truth was seen yesterday when the EU enlargement commissioner, Stefan Fule said that reforms in security of documents, migration and border management, fight against organized crime and corruption should be done. However, the situation is even worse. Nowadays Kosova can be called a country occupied by criminal elements, with a justice system that is politically controlled and corrupted and with institutions that should be independent, however they are controlled by the government and pre-institutional structures,” Lama said.
