UP has consistently ignored the criticism that number of accepted students has greatly lowered the quality of the study. While this policy of issuing people with diplomas continues, there will nothing be done in terms of opening the labor market.
This imbalance between the labor market and the enormous increase of the number of students according to Jonuz Salihu is due to the educational institutions which have made no study of the so-called network of schools to analyze what Kosovo needs and where there is redundant staff.
"This imbalance was created because the labor market has not been studied in advance.
When competitions are announced, the Chamber of Commerce or the various institutions dealing with business are not consulted by anyone in order to have a review all about Kosovo. They do business with universities, while public university competes to accept more students because it has privileges too "said Jonuzi.
There is a large number of the appliers also in Prishtina.
Director of Education in this municipality, Halim Halimi said to Kosovapress that for 24 vacancies have applied 630 persons.
According to him, only for a vacant in primary school "Hasan Prishtina", have applied 101 persons.
"The University of Pristina should be aware of this great competition and to not accept students for several years in the fields where there is a large number of graduated students," said Halimi.
While in Municipality of Obiliq, according to the Director of Education, Ismail Kurshumliu 94 persons have applied for 30 vacancies in Fushë Kosova, according to a spokesperson for media Ali Topalli, for 10 vacancies have applied 47 persons.
Such situation is also in Municipality of Lipjan, according to the Director of Education, for 63 vacancies have applied 351 persons.
On the other hand, in the municipality of Decan, according to spokeswoman for information, Yllarta Thaçi is expected to be announced a competition for less than 10 vacancies, and in that of Peja, according to Musa Krasniqi, is expected to be announced a competition for less than 20 vacancies.
