List of items in the draft-law of goods exempted from customs duties and goods with zero tariff of customs tax, is very deficient and it must not be selective. So was said in a round table organized by American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo with representatives of businesses and manufacturers.

"I have requested and continue to repeat it, release us from duty for those raw materials that cannot be produced in Kosovo," he said.
Also Lulzim Syla from private sector, mentioning solar panels for energy production has said that an elimination of customs duties for them, would greatly affect in their import but also in their application by citizens.
Syla: They should not be considered as capital goods
"We have requested several times for two very specific products that are solar panels to produce electricity and thermal panels for water heating. They are considered as capital goods whereas we think they should enter as special products, "he said.
Executive Director of American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo Arian Zeka said that the list of items is very deficient and in his opinion, the way it is, nothing can be achieved.

"The Finance Ministry has prepared a draft-law of goods to be exempted from customs duties. We have concluded that the list of items included in this draft-law is a bit deficient and it should be expanded even further and must not be selective if we wish to achieve what we have requested, "he said.
This draft-law was drafted by Ministry of Finance in the frame of the new fiscal package.
