1000 new jobs in Gjakova

The "Employment Stock Kosovo 2012" has been organized in Gjakova in Kosovo Business Alliance and supported by the Government, namely the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. According to the organizers, by the end of this year, are approximately 1000 new jobs guaranteed.

Agim Shahini, president of KBA, has said that this is a traditional project and aims to increase employment and economic development.

In Gjakova this activity is realized for the second time.

Shahini:

"In Kosovo there are many needs for professional workers. There are needs for different engineers, professional workers, construction of low and high. There is a need for professional waiters, professional cooks, because this is the trend of development and trend in summer season. Therefore, companies will give job seekers from Gjakova an opportunity and I hope that this project will succeed even more than last year, "he said.

The head of Business Alliance of Kosovo, showed that last year the "Employment Stock" in Gjakova, employed 129 people. He has called on the everyone from municipality's businesses to employ a jobless, because employment remains a challenge for the country and our institutions.

According to him, employment opportunities are available only through the Employment Stock, and KBA's slogan is already known to all.

Agim Koci, Gjakova Municipality deputy, said he is satisfied that, the "Employment Stock" project is realized for the second time in this municipality.

"By the end of the year approximately 1000 new work places, are guaranteed, thanks to two shopping centers in the municipality of Gjakova and soon to the recycling factory building built by American citizens," he said.

Koci has added that these are successes for the municipality, while other states are facing with global crisis. Koci also has invited businesses of Gjakova to be honest and to employ one unemployed.

While Dėfrim Rifaj, Director of the Department of Employment, has rated the "Employment Stock Kosovo 2012"project as very important, being convinced that there will be more results not only in Gjakova, but throughout Kosovo.
