​Olympic stadium ‘Adem Jashari’ inaugurated

The Olympic stadium ‘Adem Jashari’ in Mitrovica, has been inaugurated. This stadium, which has the view of a European stadium now, on Wednesday afternoon, will be ready for the first international friendly match for our representative, which begins its new chapter in football against Haiti.

The Kosovan Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci attended the inauguration ceremony of the Olympic stadium ‘Adem Jashari ne Mitrovica.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Memli Krasniqi and President of the Football Federation of Kosova (FFK), Fadil Vokrri.

The Prime Minister Thaci together with Minister Krasniqi and President of the FFK, Fadil Vokrri cut the ribbon of inauguration of this football ‘temple’.

Mr Thaci was impressed with the work that has been done during the renovation of the Olympic stadium in Mitrovica in line with UEFA and FIFA standards and criteria.

‘I am impressed with the work that has been done in complete renovation of the Olympic Stadium in line with UEFA and FIFA standards and criteria. The historic match for our representative is after tomorrow, the first match between Kosova and Haiti. I would like to thank Minister of Sport, Mr Memli Krasniqi and the head of the Football Federation of Kosova, Mr Fadil Vokrri for his outstanding work in the internationalization of Kosovan sport.’ Said Thaci.

He added that the Kosovan government would continue to invest in sport and in the renovation of other stadiums across the Republic of Kosova. Mr Thaci believes that Kosova will win its first international match against Haiti.

Meanwhile, the FFK President, Fadil Vokrri was pleased with the inauguration of the ‘Adem Jashari’ stadium. He has thanked both the Prime Minister Thaci and Minister Krasniqi for their contribution given for renovating the stadium in Mitrovica.

He also is convinced that Kosova will begin its international adventure with a win against Haiti.
