The Anti-corruption Agency (ACA) has issued a decision on July 6 on the existence of conflict of interest on exercise of public function over the case of executive director in PTK and member of Board of directors of Pension Savings Trust, Ejup Qerimi. ACA has noticed that in the case of Ejup Qerimi there is conflict of interest in exercise of public function, considering that this person has two functions at the same time, which is prohibited by the Law on prevention of conflict of interest Nr.04/L-051.
On this occasion, ACA has proved that it is an institution that implements the law on similar cases in selective and biased way, and deliberately in wrong way, reads the press release of Çohu Organization.
According to press release, in August 2011 ACA has issued a decision on conflict of interest of the rector of University of Prishtina and has noticed that in the case of Muje Rugova there was no situation of conflict of interest, although in addition to the function of rector of UP, he has exercised and continues exercising as well the function of member of Board of directors of KEK.
Both decisions of ACA are with different conclusions, although we have to do with similar cases. The director of PTK, Ejup Qerimi is director in PTK and at the same time is member of Board of directors of Kosova Pension Savings Trust, while Muje Rugova is still rector of UP and member of Board of directors in KEK, reads the press release.
According to Çohu Organization, in the case of Muje Rugova, ACA has made a wrong interpretation of the Law on conflict of interest, ACA quotes an article, which proves that Muja is in conflict of interest.
