The officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosova informed that there are no citizens of Kosova in the locations of conflicts.
The deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, Petrit Selimi said that all Albanians who live in Damascus since the period of Ottoman Empire, were evacuated.
“I confirm that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Embassy of Kosova in Istanbul and Riyadh, was confirmed that there are no citizens of Kosova in Damascus. We have evacuated everyone. There are two journalists there on duty. Whereas, regarding the ones that are mentioned as Albanians, they are old families living there for centuries from the Ottoman Empire,” Selimi said.
However, according to Albanian publicist in Syria, Muhamed Mufaku-Arnauti, two Albanians have been killed in the conflict, Munir Arnauti and Behlul Arnauti, whos names were confirmed as well by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
