According to them, until now there were identified several works that were realized against the criteria of construction and interference on Historical Center of Prizren, as well against the work license issued by municipal authorities. The monitors of Ec Ma Ndryshe have noticed that the main violations in this zone are in the works in: Hotel Theranda, kafe Hollywood, former Mall in Shatervan, pavement of the road in Shatervan, the construction in front of the house of Shaip Spahise, the construction in front of the IMMK facility, construction of several hotels, and so on.
“The violations of construction criteria and licenses and interference in most of the cases deal with exceeding the base of construction limits,” reads the press release.
EC Ma Ndryshe requested from the municipal authorities in Prizren to undertake required actions towards normalization of situation at the Historical Center of Prizren. Otherwise, the local government will turn the Historical Center of Prizren into ruins of concrete and constructions of “modern” type, which do not coincide with the Conservation and Development Plan of the Historical Center of Prizren, approved by the municipal assembly in 2008.
