Under the lead of President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, was held the fourth meeting of National Council Against Corruption on the topic of the third thematic review and debate of work of ACA.
In this case, President Jahjaga has said that in previous sessions, the Agency Director, Hasan Preteni has insisted on strengthening the role of the Anti Corruption Agency and the concrete legal support of its work, he also had requested that the false submission and non-submission of data to this agency to be punishable.
Also, it was said that the issues raised by ACA, are not treated well, not treated on time, further procedures are not established and there is no feedback.
The President said that this segment of this connection and interdependence will be specifically discussed today and there will be accurate evidence of how many cases are raised, how many were processed and how many are resolved.
The President has said is interested to see concrete and tangible results in fighting this phenomenon.
"I am more concerned to create an atmosphere and a general opinion against corruption, to establish the necessary mechanisms to prevent this phenomenon at first, but also to be uncompromising and very effective in fighting this phenomenon; everywhere where it appears, taking the measures of exemplary punishments. Like all of you, I am interested in concrete and tangible results, statistical representation, how many corruption cases were discovered and how many were punished and what measures were taken, including confiscation of property illegally acquired, "said Jahjaga.
Moreover, she added that for the next meeting will be available quarterly report of the work of the National Council and after this report, the further work will be more clearly .
On the other hand, Hasan Preteni director of the Anti-Corruption Agency has said that until 31 March were exercised 240 criminal charges involving more than 700 persons.
