The lawyer of Idriz Balaj said that the prosecutor has failed to prove the charges against his client.
He said that in this trial the prosecution has not managed to prove the charges against Idriz Balaj beyond reasonable doubt, adding that he has the right to be released. He said that they can say whatever they want and they can suspect as well, however it does not change the fact that the arguments and testimonies presented in this trial were deficient in the first, second and final level.
Moreover, the lawyer of Balaj said to everyone that this is not a box match, but it is a court of law and in a court there are certain duties and obligations that belong to sides and prosecution.
He said that as the prosecution is not representing a certain side in a disagreement, in a penal prosecution its interest is not to win the case, but to ensure to provide justice and as such the prosecutor is in a certain sense, undisputable, serving the law, whose double aim is for the guilt not to be left without being punished and the innocence not to suffer.
He added that while the prosecution can make strong hits, it is not good to do them wrongly, however he said that the prosecutor is obliged to use legal means.
