Some persons who claimed that they represent the oil companies, have threatened today that they will “set fire to the facilities” of the newspaper, following a story that was published, which informed that MTI has punished the companies Petrol Company, Baci Kompani, Delta Group, Rek Oil, Agro Kabashi, Usa Sh.p.k, Kastrati company and NP Pajtimi for bad quality of fuel.
The Association of Professional Journalists of Kosova called on Kosova Police, EULEX mission and all other justice institutions to resolve these threats.
“APJK strongly condemns this act and any kind of threat on journalists for carrying out their duty. APJK considers that threat towards journalists presents violation of freedom of expression and freedom of information, which are fundamental rights for the functioning of democracy,” reads the press release of APJK.
