He made these comments in today’s meeting of the Government, and expressed the stance that Serbia will not reach to organize elections in Republic of Kosova.
“The stance of the Government of Republic of Kosova is and will remain clear, Serbia will not reach to organize elections in Kosova. The Government of Republic of Kosova will use its constitutional and legal mechanism in order for such a thing not to happen. This claim of Serbia is against the Resolution 1244 and the opinion of the International Court of Justice, the Constitution and laws of Kosova and we consider it as aggression,” Thaçi said.
Moreover, he said that Serbia cannot organize neither local, nor presidential and general elections.
“When I say that elections cannot take place, Serbia cannot organize elections in Kosova, I talk as well about local, general and presidential elections. At the same time, the Government of Republic of Kosova will be accountable to respect the European model, the one on dual citizenship, it will respect the Constitution of Kosova and Ahtisaari’s Plan,” Thaçi said.
