Following the meeting of the headship of Kosova’s Parliament, the Parliament Speaker, Jakup Krasniqi informed in a press conference over the holding of the extraordinary session, which came as a request of the Parliamentary Group of PDK.
“There will be several sessions this week. Tomorrow will take place a session initiated by the Parliamentary Group of PDK with the signature of 46 MPs on extraordinary session over the developments in the northern part of Kosova. There are two sessions on Thursday and Friday, and in this way we complete the week with three sessions,” Krasniqi said.
However, last week the Vetevendosje Movement had requested to hold an extraordinary session, however it did not reach to collect more than 20 signatures.
The opposition considered the call of Parliamentary Group of PDK for extraordinary session as absurd and unnecessary, as they said that the prime minister Hashim Thaçi, leader of PDK, based on Kosova’s Constitution, can convene extraordinary session.
