The OSCE Secretary General, Lamberto Zannier, who has served in Kosova as special representative of UN secretary general, highly evaluated the progress in Kosova and expressed the interest over the possibility for citizens of Kosova with dual citizenship to vote in general elections of Republic of Serbia, reads the press release of President’s Office.
President Jahjaga emphasized that local elections of Republic of Serbia will not take place in the territory of Republic of Kosova, because they violate the territorial integrity of the country. Jahjaga said that the institutions of Republic of Kosova recognize the international standard by which the citizens with dual citizenship have the right to vote in general elections and international conventions will be respected on this issue.
