The recent developments in Kosova and the dynamics of European integration, with the focus on human rights, were some of the topics of the lecture.
By explaining the long path that Kosova’s citizens have been through until declaration of independence, Hoxhaj emphasized that the expulsion of over one million Albanians, tens of thousands killed and ethnic cleansing, aimed the change of demographic figures I Kosova.
“Serbia has never paid attention to population in Kosova. It was interested only about territory. This policy of ethnic cleansing was stopped by humanitarian intervention of NATO and brought peace, security and stability in Balkans and Europe,” Hoxhaj said.
On this occasion, Hoxhaj thanked Italy for the contribution on state building of Kosova and for large participation of military forces in frame of KFOR.
“Declaration of Kosova’s independence is European story of success,” Hoxhaj said.
The minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosova talked as well about the rights of communities in Kosova, which derive from Ahtisaari’s Plan.
