As a result of an operation conducted by the Department of Border Police, the Kosovo Police has arrested nine persons suspected of being dealt with immigrant smuggling. Meanwhile, Director of the Department of Management Shaban Guda said that the detainees have been involved in a group which has made immigrant smuggling. He said that the detainees are citizens of Kosovo, and arrests were made in the town of Mitrovica, Vushtrri, and Podujeva.
According to him, this criminal group had its bases also in other European countries.

"Investigations Unit has successfully managed to arrest nine persons, to arrest a highly organized and sophisticated group dealing with immigrant smuggling, false documents and weapon and ammunition smuggling.
