The Office of National Coordinator for Fighting Human Trafficking has started today the two-day seminar with the topic Challenge of human trafficking and violence on gender basis in Kosova.
On this occasion, the deputy minister of Internal Affairs and National Coordinator Against Trafficking, Sasha Rashiq said that they have reached progress on this issue.
I am here to assure you that Kosovas Government has prioritized fight against organized crime, by focusing on the fight against human trafficking, together with our national and international partners, I can say that we have marked progress in preventing and protecting those who are involved in human trafficking, Rashiq said.
Moreover, he added that everyday they are making efforts for the respective mechanisms to be more professional in fight against those who deal with human trafficking.
The deputy minister said that the contribution of USAID is of great importance, and the professional expertise and different funds that it allocated for these objectives.
According to Rashiq, this program financed by USAID and implemented by IOM aims development of minimal standards for the victims of human trafficking and expressed confident that the quality has increased.
On the other hand, Tanya Urqueta from USAID, said that the four-year program was launched to deal with an issue of human rights that concerns Kosova, as well many other countries.
