The secretary general of University of Prishtina, Milaim Mazreku told Kosovapress that there are no free places in basic faculties of UP because there was large number of students in the first term.
“In other faculties as in sciences, in Mitrovica and Ferizaj and in Mathematical Sciences, however it is the issue of management, which is working intensively to come up with another competition in September,” Mazreku said.
He added that the complaints on enrollment of students for 2012-2013 are being reviewed in all academic units of University of Prishtina and according to him, the academic units with highest number of complaints are Faculty of Education, with over 500 complaints for 10 programs, followed by the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Architecture, however the UP management does not know the exact number of complaints.
However, according to Kosovapress sources, in most of UP faculties there are free places only on correspondence, where the semester costs 250 euro.
