The head of department for education in AAK, Jonuz Salihaj, in today’s press conference, expressed concerned over the quality in Kosova’s education system and politicization of education system by the party in power. According to him, the education in Kosova is facing great challenges.
“We are concerned for politicization of education by the party in power and we call again publicly on the Government and the Ministry of Education not to use education for political goals. You have seen the Report of Progress and it would be good to implement in practice those remarks that are noticed in the Report of Progress in order for our education system to be in harmony with EU. In this level of the development of the system, we are far from the education system of EU member states, as well far from countries of the region. More work, budget and motivation is needed,” Salihaj said.
According to him, the education system is not unified and the inclusion in all segments remains low.
He said that Kosova is facing weak staff and considering the weak condition in education, every citizen of Kosova should be concerned.
