Leaders of the KMA and Kosovo Pharmaceutical Association have appealed to citizens not to cause panic, because Kosovo from January of this year has blocked the import of Hemofarms products.
However, Head of KMA, Ilir Dushi, during a press conference held on Tuesday, has recommended to all sellers, as wholesalers as well to retailers, to be careful of Hemofarm company's products and report any problems or incidences they observe, as in drugs as well and in patients.
Dushi added that FDA has just issued a message where Hemofarms products are suspended for that country and in his opinion such a suspension in our country is in force since January 2012. But he did not deny the fact that pharmacies in Kosovo have Hemofarms products.
Dushi: Such a blocking, in our country is effective from January 2012
"FDA has issued a message where it has clarified that Hemofarms products are suspended and may come only in any other way.
So, FDA currently has just issued a message which Hemofarm's products are suspended to that country. Such a blocking, at us is effective from January 2012, so approximately since seven months. According to our research, the last import of the amount of these products in the market was made in December of 2011. There was no huge amount that can cause major distortions in the market, there are no irreplaceable products. We do not anticipate any problem if import continues, "he said.
