“Dewberry is a new fruit that is being cultivated in Kosova. As it is new, it is not well known for the citizens. It has started three or four years ago. I am manufacturer and I’ve been dealing with this production since three years ago. It is a fruit with healing effects, it is a healthy fruit and it does not require a lot of work and I believe it will have secured future for development,” Krasniqi said.
As a manufacturer of this culture, this farmer expressed dissatisfied with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture on increase of production capacities.
“We did not have support from the Ministry of Agriculture. I am talking about the Municipality of Gjakova, not others,” Krasniqi said.
On the other hand, the officials of the Ministry of Agriculture told Kosovapress that this is the second year that this ministry supports the cultivation of this culture.
The director of department of production and protection of plants in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Isuf Cikaqi said that this ministry is supporting cultivation of dewberry since two years ago.
