Government officials increase their own salaries

The Government of Kosova has approved the increase of salaries for its senior officials. The first one who will benefit from this increase is the prime minister Hashim Thaçi, who will receive additional 882 euro each month. The deputy prime ministers, ministers and many other officials will benefit as well, whereas around 500 000 pensioners and families on social aid still receive from 45 to 80 euro per month. The bill is expected to be approved as well by the Parliament.
